taken a scene from her ASOUE fan fiction The Return, which can be read here [link] Enjoy. Jerome was at her door within seconds, and after ushering Carmelita out into the hallway, he slowly approached Esmé and sat beside her on the bed. He gently pushed her shoulder-length hair back from her face and cupped it in his hands so that she was forced to look at him. Their eyes met, and she was surprised to see that his matched hers all too perfectly for the corners of his eyes were brimming with tears. This only caused Esmés emotions to become even more unstable, and she bowed her head against Jeromes chest and sobbed even harder. Wrapping his arms around her trembling body, he held her close, resting his cheek against her shoulder. He loved her so much and he couldnt even tell her for fear it would just upset her. He didnt know if she loved him or not, and he didnt care. He wanted her. He needed her. He worshiped her. She was everything to him and more. No matter what she had done, he still loved her. It was all in the past now, and all that mattered was them, Carmelita, and the baby. That was all. After a minute or two in his arms, Esmés sobs appeared to have stabilized, and as she lifted her head to look at her husband, she did the last thing anyone who knew her best would ever have expected. Reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck, Esmé leaned forward and pressed her lips steadily against Jeromes. |
